Dublin Stars Visit for Halloween

We were delighted to welcome Brian Howard and Niamh Hetherington from the two All Ireland winning GAA teams today. They picked some day to visit! Everyone was dressed up and in the Halloween spirit with some fantastic costumes as usual.  The homemade costumes were really creative and some students managed to get the blue and navy of the Dubs into their costumes.

Seeing the Brendan Martin cup for the first time up close was great. Niamh is a wonderful role model for all the girls in St. Mary’s. She plays gaelic football for Clontarf and camogie for Vincents. Last year while training for the Dubs she completed her Leaving Certificate.

Both Brian and Niamh answered questions from the students and posed for lots of pictures. Go raibh Míle maith agaibh, Niamh and Brian!

Míle buíochas also to Emma who organised the visit.

Here are a few more Halloween pictures from the day.
