Last Thursday was ‘World Book Day’ and it was marked in our community by the launch of the ‘One Book One Community’ project in Ballybough Community Centre. Our Sixth Class girls are reading a book called ‘Across the Divide’ by the author Brian Gallagher. We hope that their parents will also read this fascinating historical novel set in 1913.
Mr. Gallagher, Mrs. McGarry, Kirsty, Colleen and their parents represented the school at the launch and the girls met the author and received signed copies of the book. Congratulations to the HSCL co-ordinators in the area for organising this literary event.
