School Note 9th March

Dear Parent\Guardian,

I am delighted to report that all classes will be back to school next Monday. If your child is in 3rd to 6th class please make sure you submit the ‘Return to Educational Facility’ form which your class teacher will email at the weekend. This is now required before the students return to school and going forward it will need to be signed after any absence.

Because of the delayed return to school and the continuing restrictions due to Lockdown we have made some changes to our planned days off for the rest of the year. We will now not take a day off after St. Patrick’s Day or take a full week’s holiday in May as planned. Instead we will use these days to finish three days earlier at the end of June. The revised dates going forward are:

March:            School closed for St. Patrick’s Day        Wednesday 17th March

April:              Term ends for Easter                               Friday 26th March at 12 noon

April:               School reopens                                       Monday 12th April

May:               School closed for 3 days                         3rd May(Bank Holiday), 4th and 5th May

June:              School closed for 3 days                         Friday 4th, 7th(Bank Holiday), 8th June

                       Term ends                                               Friday 25th June

The school was supposed to have a days training in the Primary Language Curriculum sometime in Term 3. We have not received guidance on whether that should go ahead from the Department. I will inform you as soon as I know.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next Monday!

Kind regards,

Eibhlín McGarry
